AMANDA SUN, M.D.
Dr. Sun is a board-certified psychiatrist trained in child, adolescent and adult psychiatry. She is in private practice located at The Exchange Building at 1122 Kenilworth Drive, Suite 100, Towson, MD 21204.
Both in-person and telepsychiatry appointments are available for new and existing patients. I am taking new patients and work with children, adolescents and young adults age 6-29.
SERVICES
Dr. Sun is invested in providing comprehensive evaluation and treatment for you or your child. In addition to her special interests in working with the college/university-age population and working with families from immigrant backgrounds, she specializes in the following psychiatric conditions:
- Mood disorders (including depressive and bipolar disorders)
- Anxiety disorders
- Adjustment disorder
- Attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder
- Disruptive behavior disorders
- Post-traumatic stress disorder
- Obsessive-compulsive and related disorders
- Tic disorders
- Insomnia disorder
She provides psychiatric services including initial diagnostic evaluations, longitudinal medication management, individual psychotherapy, consultations, family/parent meetings, and care coordination with school personnel and IEP teams.
In addition to extensive experience in medication management of a wide range of psychiatric disorders, Dr. Sun has experience in psychotherapy conducting cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic psychotherapy, and interpersonal psychotherapy (IPT) for young adults.
